Mirna Valerio, a.k.a the Mirnavator, is an ultrarunner, author, and advocate for intersectionality and inclusion in the running community. As a Black woman whose body type does not fit the stereotypical image of elite runners, she has faced judgement within the running community. She emphasizes the importance of incorporating intersectionality across sports to create space and challenge standards of athleticism and beauty which are rooted in racism.
