Video: Love of sport, helping others brought Rola Allahaweh back from near death

When a bomb exploded at a wedding she was attending, Rola Allahaweh's family thought she was dead. Weeks later, when the Jordanian military nurse woke in a hospital, her family rejoiced to learn of her survival.

Her family's happiness - along with her love of sport - motivated her to help others to find purpose and meaning after devastating injuries. She turned that focus to helping wounded warriors find a path to independence through sport and became an advocate for disabled athletes worldwide.
